Canine Skin Disease - An Integrative Approach

This is the MOST glorious Tay ! This girl came to see me early in 2021 with a spotty chest and hair loss/ thinning coat. She had also recently had an ear infection. She was on various medications and shampoo and had had quite a few investigations to delve into why her skin was like this without a clear definitive answer.

We did two things:

  • we looked at her diet and added some supplements to optimise her micronutrients for skin health

  • we started her on herbs.

She has done GREAT! She now has a beautiful thick coat, and only very occasionally gets pustules on her chest -usually on a Sunday after charging through undergrowth on a Saturday whilst out beating (did I mention that Tay is a working girl?!) - calendula tincture sorts them out rapidly.

She comes in to see me with her new buddy Tulla the Weimaraner puppy, and together they bring huge joy and fun into the consult room (and know how to work me for treats!)
